The X_Heal Toolkit supports designers, researchers, and educators in exploring how self-healing living materials can be understood, expressed, and experienced in design. It helps users analyse and communicate the expressive and temporal dimensions of self-healing, e.g. how the material transforms over time.
Structured around three core dimensions: matter, space, and time, the toolkit includes a taxonomy, vocabulary, visual stickers, and an annotation template for documenting and reimagining sensory (form, visual, and tactile) and spatiotemporal (direction and speed) characteristics of self-healing processes.
